I know there’s a few people who use my penalty chart for APBA play. Since last posting it, I’ve made a few tweaks:
- 33 now has the ability to do a little “game management” by trying to even out the power plays
- 34 and 35 now have different results for OT
- Chart is more verbose
I’ll attach a picture version and a PDF.

Thank you, I will get good use out of this!!
Hi. Thanks for making this, and all your other modifications available to us. It keeps the game fresh. I have a couple of questions. Is CON the same as CP1? Is that what you mean under CFT-12 by “CON line”? What does CFT stand for? CFT-13 seems confusing to me. This refers to CFT-13 and CFT-14, right? It says to check the MAJ rating and “if it is or less than the CFT#, consult MAJ…” It seems backward to me. If the MAJ on the card is 0, we consult the MAJ column on the chart? Shouldn’t it be “equal to or more than”? Again, thanks for all you do.
Hi Mike, this looks really good but not understanding some things. Where is the CON chart that is referred to? Also, I don’t see any results that direct you to result CP3. Also, in the first box under Chart B, looks like it’s missing the word “equal”? “If it is equal or less than the CFT #…”
CON is the same as CP3. CFT is to check if the penalty will be a major, with the “11/12/13/14” referring to the major rating of the player. You check for a major if the Major rating is between 11-14 AND the player does not have a 36 or greater on play result 35.
